Privacy Notice

Effective date: 7 April 2026

This page explains what happens to the information you send through the contact form on this site. It is short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email matt.kneale@throughball.club and I will answer in plain English.

Who we are

ThroughBall is a one-person business run by Matt Kneale, based in the United Kingdom. Matt is the sole data controller for any personal data processed through this site.

Contact: matt.kneale@throughball.club

What information we collect

The contact form is the only place this site collects personal data. When you submit it, the following fields are sent:

Required

Club name, your name, email address, and a description of what you want to talk about.

Optional

Your role at the club, current league, current website URL, and phone number. Leave any of these blank if you would rather not share them.

No analytics, no cookies, and no tracking pixels are used on this site. Your visit is not logged or profiled.

Why we collect it

The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you have made a direct enquiry, and I need your details to reply, understand your club, and quote sensibly for the work.

I do not send marketing emails. If at some point I want to add you to anything that resembles a mailing list, I will ask first and you can say no.

How we process it

The contact form is delivered by Formspree (Formspree, Inc.), a form forwarding service. When you hit submit, Formspree receives the form data and forwards it to my business email inbox, which runs on Google Workspace.

From there, your message lives in my inbox like any other email. No third parties beyond Formspree and Google Workspace see it. There is no automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for 24 months from our last contact, then deleted.

If we end up working together, your details move into client records and are kept for as long as needed to run the project and meet UK accounting and tax obligations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights over personal data I hold about you:

Art. 15

Access. Ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you.

Art. 16

Rectification. Ask me to correct anything that is wrong or out of date.

Art. 17

Erasure. Ask me to delete your data, subject to any legal reason I might need to keep it.

Art. 18

Restriction. Ask me to pause processing while a question is sorted out.

Art. 20

Portability. Ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

Art. 21

Object. Object to me processing your data on the legitimate interest basis.

Complain

Lodge a complaint. If you think I have mishandled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

To exercise any of these rights, just email me. There is no form to fill in.

International transfers

Formspree is a US company, so when you submit the form your data leaves the UK briefly on its way to my inbox. This transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses, the safeguard the UK government recognises for sending personal data outside the UK.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking pixels. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to opt out of.

Changes to this notice

If I change how the site handles personal data, I will update this page and bump the effective date at the top. Material changes will be obvious; cosmetic edits will not.
